SO. What are your Names? where you’re from and what first got you interested in the entertainment industry?

ASS. We are Ben (bass, vocals), Rob (lead guitar, vocals), Chad (rhythm guitar, vocals), and Thom (drums, vocals) We’re from Minneapolis, Minnesota. We like music! Our parents played in bands when we were kids, that was one of the biggest things. Our favorite movie was La Bamba at 5 years old, Richie Valens being a rock star. We didn’t like him being killed in a plane crash. At age 6, we flew on a plane for the first time and flipped out, Thanks, La Bamba. At age 6, our buddy Nick had a white guitar with a rose on it. It was inspiration to be in a band and sing.
SO. Who and/or what inspires you to create?
ASS. Dog, friends, work, thoughts, and opinion.
SO. How would you describe your sound?
ASS. Loud, fast, thrashy aggressive with melody.
SO. What is your creative process like?
ASS. Get a feeling inside and we gotta get it out somehow and that’s it, we’re very messy with it. We’re all over the place. We kind of fight it out. We make it together. It starts out like shit and momentum happens and we make a song out of it.
SO.What artist(s) would you like to collaborate with?
ASS. Who would collaborate with ASS?
SO. What is one message you would give to your supporters?
ASS. Dude, all we are is dust in the wind… Have fun cause we’re going to have fun with you. We follow the golden rule. Express your opinions, but you don’t have to be an asshole.
SO. What is the most talent/skill you have that most people don’t know about?
ASS. Very good at color theory. Can drink 6 beers in a half hour. Going to work hungover.
SO. What would you be doing right now, if you weren’t doing music?
ASS. Our regular jobs and bouncing off the walls.
SO. Who are some artists/people you admire and why?
ASS. BB King said learn as much as you can, but sometimes less is more. Whereas Yngwie Malmsteen said less is more and more is more. Roy Orbison. Can’t sound like him, never in a million years. But what we write has a melody until we speed it up and have to shout. Gotta give it to Matt Freeman of Rancid, he’s the reason I play bass.
SO. What is the best advice you’ve been given?
ASS. “Don’t get smart, stay the way you are”.. from my dad. I got a lot of tips from dad and they’re all smart ass tips. You don’t always gotta be like the Joneses, which means be your own fuckin person. You don’t have to do what everybody else fuckin wants or expects you to do. Do what the fuck you want. You become more interesting when you live that way. Be yourself. Golden rule.. Treat others how you want to be treated.
SO. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
ASS. Less visual, more audio. Fuck the hook.
SO. What’s next for you, where would you like to see yourself in the next year?

ASS. Back playing shows. Playing a show. On stage. Due to this pandemic, all shows have stopped. Just to play a show at Al’s Bowling Alley in Moorhead, MN.

SO. What is your social media? How can people get in contact with you?

ASS. Give us a call.
