If everything changes; why are people so uncomfortable when WE change? We’re supposed to learn and grow everyday so what’s the problem? I believe people are uncomfortable when others change because they themselves are still in the same place in life and unhappy.

Once people are not at your beck and call anymore, tension starts to grow. This has to stop but will it? Probably not but if you are one of those who are changing for the better; ignore the negativity of others. The Quest Chronicles: Relax A Little Let’s be real, life is great but can be team too much. We as people have a lot going on. We have occupations, families, and responsibilities. As parents and bosses, others depend on us. When you have a lot on your plates it can become overwhelming at times. Many of us are looked at as superheroes because it’s hard to figure out how we get so much done.

Superheroes or not, we all get tired and exhausted, and sometimes we just need some rest. The sad part is, some of us are so consumed by our schedules that we barely have time for rest. That’s not good nor healthy. I encourage you all to make time for yourself and your health before it’s too late.

If you spend too much time just playing the field and keeping things nonchalant don’t be surprised if a certain someone moves on. You can’t expect them to wait around until you find out what you want to do, in this case when you see them with someone else, don’t be shocked or hurt; just let them go and move on. Take this as a lesson learned before you lose someone else that you may think is right for you.

The Quest Chronicles: Epiphany Recently I was having a conversation with my mother about life, the past, and my childhood. She expressed to me that it broke her heart to know that I didn’t feel comfortable coming to her when things weren’t ok with me. As an adult and radio personality, I’ve expressed a few things about my past, and of course, she has heard it.

Many parents will automatically take the blame for things because it’s in their nature. At that moment, I had to let her know that she personally didn’t do anything wrong. She’s a great mother, I was just a child going through my own issues while fighting my own demons. Yes, I’m much more verbal now but after having a conversation with her, I realize why I am the way that I am. She wondered why I didn’t feel comfortable coming to her, or talking to her, or anyone . She reminded me that no matter what she’ll always have my back and will do anything for me. We reminisced about a few situations when she came to my rescue and then it hit me!

The Quest Chronicles: Epiphany

I tell people all the time, I don’t like arguing, fighting or confrontations and I finally realized where it stemmed from. When I was younger, I was jumped and everyone was shocked! Why would they jump the sweet quiet girl from down the street? Then I remember why… They jumped me because I gave my opinion and they didn’t like it. I was hurt because I had my own opinion; now it makes sense why I was so tight-lipped when growing up. If having your own personal opinion will hurt you then why bother?

Of course, I’ve grown and moved past that but it was definitely a revelation that finally made sense. My question to you is, when was the last time you had a revelation about something that’s been making you uncomfortable for a while?

There’s a time where we bite our tongue even though we would like to speak up. Even in cases where we want to share our accomplishments, we tend not to because of how some people will react. 

Keeping things to ourselves is not a bad thing sometimes. Enjoy you and your success for you. If you find love, enjoy it. If you get a raise or whatever; enjoy it. Everything doesn’t have to be announced, people may not be happy for you but just be happy for yourself. You deserve it!

Sometimes we have pre thoughts to prepare us for a conversation that’s soon to come. Many of us do this because it’s smart to think before you speak. It helps you to choose your words wisely and to help you not come off as harsh in some situations.

There comes a time when a situation occurs and we tend to over think it and over analyze it. In cases like this, it could be a good thing or a bad thing. Over-thinking can become unhealthy and you might even play yourself. Just relax, chill and don’t overthink it. You’ll be doing yourself a favor; trust me.
