The Quest Chronicles: My Strong Friends You are so brave. You are so strong. “Thank you” should be the response, correct? Is this a compliment? Can it be received well all the time because last I checked, some of my friends are on the verge of breaking. Many of us have been taught to be strong, how to survive, how to maneuver through tough times.

During deaths, we have to be strong for others. As parents, we have to be strong for the kids. Through breakups & divorces, we have to be strong for the family or whomever. What about us? Yes, we know how to move on but don’t you think we hurt too?

Remember that phrase “Check on your strong friends”? It’s real. Many may say they’re okay but deep down inside they’re not. They’re human, going through this experience we call life and hurt just like everyone else. If they don’t allow you IN, just respectfully remind them that you are here for them, give them a random hug, find a way to put a smile on their face & just show up. It’ll be appreciated.

 The Quest Chronicles: Pleasing Others Pleasing Others can be so draining. Many of us work hard but sometimes feel underappreciated or not appreciated, at all. It doesn’t matter how much we do; it’s just not good enough. We can go out of our way for others but it’s still not enough. You can actually execute precisely what someone says they want but even then some are still unsatisfied.

Enough is enough. It’s time to take your power back. If people don’t appreciate you, forget about them. If they don’t like what you’re doing; forget about them, If you’re trying to help them and it’s not enough; forget about them. You will go crazy trying to please people who will never give you your proper flowers. Continue being great, continue being you and forget about them. Never allow someone to taint your positive energy.

The Quest Chronicles: Celebration Time Recently I celebrated my birthday! Every year I treat it like a national holiday because it needs to be celebrated. To see another year is a blessing especially with everything that’s been happening in our society. Years ago, more of our elders were passing away. Nowadays, it’s anyone at any age. I celebrate life, I celebrate MY life. So many people wait for others to celebrate them and end up disappointment. That’s not fair to me so I make sure I take care of myself and my happiness.

I treat my birthday as MY new year. I wake up refreshed, I set new goals. I reminisce on all I accomplished and what I desire to accomplish next. I use my birthday as a new start and I encourage others to do the same. It great to celebrate, have a party, grab a drink with friends or whatever you desire to do. At the same time, take your moment, reflect on life, understand it’s short and remember to actually LIVE it.

The Quest Chronicles: Don’t Give Up! Turning your dreams into a reality is the ultimate goal for many. It’s so easy to get excited about something! You have a natural rush and can’t wait to see how everything turns out. If it’s business, you start with a plan and then execute. Now in the midst of happiness, reality starts to set in and it’s not always pretty. It started to become hard, stressful and now you’re discouraged.

We can’t have that. Nothing in life is perfect and everything is not going to be easy. Take this down moment to help you get back up. The old saying “Quitting is never an option” has to stay an affirmation because the last thing you want is “What if’s” haunting you. If you want it; go for it. If it becomes overwhelming, step back for a second, regroup and tackle it again; maybe in another way but DON’T GIVE UP! You got this; I believe in you!

The famous saying is; that if you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready. Life is always evolving so you have to make sure that you always try your best to keep up. If you are passionate about something want to make sure that you always practice and sharpen up your skills. You will never know when someone may need your services and you’ll want to make sure that you showcase your skills to the highest level. 

In friendships, you never know when someone may start acting “brand new” and reveal their true selves, hence, turning out to be someone that you don’t even recognize or worse. With that being said, always stay ready! Continue to work hard, let the real you shine through, and be ready for the new road that life takes you. 

During this pandemic, we’ve all learned that anything can happen at any given time so we must always stay ready. Staying ready includes emergency funds, food, supplies and so much more. Life will always try to throw you curveballs so always stay ready before you get hurt. lol.

The Quest Chronicles: Friends With Benefits We all love to live life & have fun! As children, we dream of being married, having kids, a career & more. But then there comes a time in life when everything doesn’t always go as planned. This is when we readjust and re-plan. There comes a time where we accept life for what it is and just do us. Relationships are the desire but to occupy our time we may have a friend with benefits. Casually going on dates, hanging out, having fun, and lots of sex. This is great until someone catches feelings. Things start to get awkward and it messes up the dynamic.
Don’t get me wrong, there are a few friends with benefits situations that do end in a real relationship but in other cases, they may end once someone catches feelings. That wasn’t the plan in the beginning but it happens. This is why I encourage people to keep the line of communication open with your partner.

If it’s strictly friends with benefits; every few months check-in to see if you’re still on the same page. Once someone catches feelings, the dynamic changes, and not always for the best in the midst of just wanting to have fun. Do you, be safe but communicate enough so someone doesn’t get hurt.

The T-Quest Chronicles: I Got This I think it’s funny when people are looking at me and I just be dancing, moving my body, bopping to a beat that doesn’t exist to the world. People are having the puzzle look on trying to figure out what I’m listening to and in reality, I’m listening to absolutely nothing. You don’t see any headphones, Bluetooth or music playing because there is none. I just dance to my own beat. I am on a natural high, full of life that my body just moves.

The main reason why I stay dancing is because I’m a happy person. I control my energy, I control the space I desire to be in and I have full control over ME! Many of us allow people to tank our vibe. Throughout the day someone is always mad at somebody about something. Maybe something they’ve done, said or whatever. Don’t get me wrong, this happens to me too but after I have my small moment of being annoyed; I’ll handle the situation and keep it moving.

Dwelling on something that’s not that relevant is a waste of time. time waits for no man and I will not allow someone to waste my time. That’s when I remember what’s important, regroup and go about my day. A lot of the things I say are easier said than done but it still has to be said. There’s nothing wrong with reminders. What I write is like blog affirmations so pay attention, apply and start dancing to your own beat. trust me, you’ll enjoy it!

The Quest Chronicles: Not There Yet! Many of us strive to be successful. Sacrificed many years to get to where we are today. Missed out on hanging with friends & wasn’t able to be a part of some family memories but it’s okay. Many sleepless nights & restless mornings!


People see you on social media spreading the word on your well-deserved accomplishments & instead of congratulating you; they’re looking for a handout. Asking you for money, help, and opportunities as if you just became a billionaire and able to save everybody. The same ones stating that they love you & support yet missed every opportunity to actually support.

Whether I have it or not; it’s not for you, especially not now. I’m not there yet! I’m elevating in my career but I’m not there yet! Every dollar I make goes right back into my business because I’m not there yet! I would love to help everyone but I’m not there yet! If you were truly riding for me then maybe I would have been there already. Until then, step aside so I can continue to work to get there!

I want to be a doctor, lawyer, entertainer, or simply just want to make a lot of money. We all dream yet only become true for some. Kudos to the ones who were able to stay focused and turn their dreams into reality. For the ones who may have not, it’s ok.

No one is perfect, we all make mistakes, go through trials, and sometimes have no control over where life may take us. Don’t look at it as missing out but take it as a new experience ready to be explored and appreciated. Live your life, shift and change what you may but don’t allow it to slip away. It may turn out better than expected just give it a chance. This is your life, make the best of it.

Covid was a big wake-up call for many people that now everyone is becoming CEOs, starting businesses, and building brands. With everyone doing the same thing; the one thing you don’t want to happen is for you to get lost in the shuffle. Each profession is becoming a dime a dozen to the point you may tend to ask the question “What makes you special?” 

Don’t question it, just continue to be true to yourself, work hard and show the world what you are made of. We all are uniquely made but it’s up to you to keep that uniqueness shining. There may be similarities but there will never be another you; remember that. You got this!
