Marvel universe is cementing their Netflix empire with the announcement that Luke Cage has been renewed for a second season. The internet tv provider, Netflix announced the news on the show’s Twitter and Facebook pages by posting a short video.
Feauturing a sign in Pop’s Barber Shop reading “Season 2 coming soon.” accompanied by Pop’s motto, “Always forward,” which Luke Cage took to heart in Season 1.
Pop’s Barbershop was a recurring location in the first season of “Luke Cage,” and served as the workplace of the nominal charlatan before using his powers to be a “super-hero.” There’s a possibility that the set may be reconstructed to film the second season or to shoot Netflix’s “The Defenders.”
2017 will see the debut of Iron Fist, the fourth series leading up to The Defenders, currently in production and slated for streaming in 2017. In addition to those two series, there is also The Punisher, also slated to stream starting in 2017. Later, 2018 will bring the second season of Jessica Jones and the third season of Daredevil. No date as of yet of when season 2 of Luke Cage will be released, but we’re definitely ready! Check out the short teaser below!

Grammy Award Winning Gospel Artist Tasha Cobbs put on for Atlanta by putting together A Benefit Concert for Haiti that took place at Suites Food Lounge Atlanta!!!
YAAAASSSSS Babeeee!!! The same place.where some of us (well ya’ll… lol) have made the “turn up” as real as it can get, Tasha Cobbs and friends created an uplifting evening of worship to benefit families in need of medical supplies located in Haiti, and it was FREE to public!! All that was asked of attendees was to bring an item to donate (ex: batteries, non sterile gloves, Tylenol, gauze). 100% of donations will be donated to #ProjectMediShare.
The night was full of Gospel greats such as James Fortune, Isaac Carree, Anthony Brown, Pastor William Murphy, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Jonathan McRenalds, Vashawn Mitchell, and new dope artists Travis Greene and Jimi Cravity. If that wasn’t enough… World renown Kirk Franklin stepped in the building!! Not only did he show up… he showed OUT with an impromptu performance that brought the crowd to it’s feet!!

The Global Spin DJ Expo took place in New York City this past September and the Fleet Djs NY team definitely represented for the culture showing off their skills and showmanship. Hot 97, Power 105 Da Union Djs and other crews were also in the building. As always this event brings out the best in up and coming and major label artist. This year Grafh, Jaquae, Casnova all put on a dope show.
The 6th Annual RICE Awards Show was held at Atlanta City Hall on Saturday of October 15, 2016. The honorees of the night received The TORCH Award (Together Our Resources Can Help). This year’s honorees were Christopher Bridges of the Ludacris Foundation, the Davis Bozeman Law Firm, Quincy L.A. Springs IV General Manager of Wal-Mart (MLK BLVD), and Thomas Dortch JR, CEO TWD Inc.
