This Hair Wall Is A Braider’s PARADISE! | @hairwall_official

The Hair Wall and its creator
The Hair Wall created by Dani B.

Everybody knows that the pandemic created a whole lot of hustlers! NotKnotDani, aka Dani B, is no different. In 2019, she gained an accolade that not many in this day and age can obtain! She INVENTED and patented a whole product for braiders called the Hair Wall.

WHAT IS THE HAIR WALL?

This product is the ultimate braiding solution. It allows stylists to have a better overall consistency of braids in an efficient amount of time. It’s, so far, the only one of its kind. Braiding racks and thread holders exist on the market, they can become messy and time consuming leaving you better off to just separate the hair manually for each braid. The good thing is that the Hair Wall comes in different sizes and colors. This means not only efficiency for the client, but a sleek and professional look for the braider. The best part is, it’s portable by design in contrast to the bulky braiding racks.

Inventor of The Hair Wall @NoKnotDani

HOW WAS IT INVENTED?

Dani has been braiding hair for 2 1/2 years, but she’s already killing the game. One night she was prepping for her next appointment. After taking 8 hours to finish a client earlier that day, she vowed to find a solution to prevent that from happening again. She didn’t have space or money to buy the already invented hair rack, so she had to come up with something else before her next client arrived.

Although it’s not the same wall we know of today, she invented it THAT NIGHT with dollar store hooks and a simple flat surface. When she finally got started on her next appointment – she literally cut her time in half to an impressive 4 hours! From then on she started doing her research on if it had already been done. Fortunate for her, it never had been! She had a real winner on her hands!

TRAILBLAZING FOR THE GIRLIES

Since this is a fairly new invention, it’s just now hitting the beauty supply stores. If you don’t live in Kentucky or Indiana, it’s not as simple as walking into the store and purchasing one. However, you can order them online!

Dani plans to use proceeds from her invention to help new braiders invest in themselves with her product. Not a braider, but still want to support this Black Owned Business? People are already using the wall for businesses that are not even hair related. You can use it to store jewelry or a place to hold your keys. It could serve as a work of art for your wall, or any other creative ways you can think of!

Be sure to go follow Dani @NoKnotDani on Instagram and follow @HairWall_Official to place your order!

In 2021, West Coast rapper Jasey Cordeta took off with his track “Family Business” that features his brothers Swiggle Mandela and Timmi HendriXXX, and New York Dipset legend Jim Jones. The song took off on streaming platforms and gathered attention from major publications across the country. He picked up momentum by teaming up with a handful of artists/ producers from cities he has lived in; Portland, Los Angeles and Las Vegas to create a mega G Mix/ Trap Mix for the streets — “FBTM.” Cordeta recently signed a distribution deal with Capo’s Vamp Life Records and Empire, Jasey has been burning up the air waves worldwide via Coast2Coast Radio, Spotify and all major streaming platforms. DJ Trap-A-Holics of Brick Squad hosted the FBTM trap cypher that is sure to have you playing it back to catch all the witty punchlines, metaphors and street language spoken on this record.

We expect Cordeta to gain even more steam in 2022, as he recently went to New York with his brothers to film the video for “Family Business” with Jim Jones. Ppl who listened or liked these artists would ask him to spit (rap their songs). Rah Dolla says, “one day in school mr Richards told the class if they kept quiet and finish the assignment on time that he’d allow him to spit (rap their songs). The kids happily obliged. It was from that moment he decided to create his own sound”. Rah Dolla now has his own record label called Capital P Records and does everything independently. Check out his dope new EP now! | IG: @RahDolla21

$hadow – “Foreshadow”

As a maker of catchy hip-hop music, artist $hadow delves into the realities of his life and other intriguing things to curate his songs that hit at one instance. The talented musician follows no rules to dictate his authority on the genre and effortlessly comes up with new styles and sounds to solidify his reputation. By quickly redirecting things to the positive shade, the artist has tried his hands at experimentation, and it’s beyond refreshing to hear the rapper trying something so off-center. Make sure you check out his new album “Foreshadow” now! | IG: @shadow.tw

SIAHH – “Red Trippin”

SIAHH was born on October 1st 1994 to Mr and Mrs Thomas. SIAHH spent his years as child living in Brooklyn, NY. There he was raised in an apartment development by the name of Glenwood Houses. These apartments were known as “the projects. There SIAHH was exposed to issues that the average kid living in a “normal home” didn’t go through. Struggles such as living in poverty, close friends being victims of gang violence, etc. Had put him in the mindset to succeed. He tried to escape and go the route of a college basketball star but those dreams quickly halted.

As this happened a new fire was roaring he began singing, drawing, rapping, writing, producing. SIAHH seen this as opportunity to spark the world musically and to give an insight that only who would’ve actually experienced it can relay to the masses. SIAHH musical sound is a mixup of rap, Afro beat, dancehall to pop, rock and much more.

SIAHH has dropped a couple singles, but his latest and most successful song is “Red Trippin.” He has three surprise albums. One will drop before the year ends titled “The book of siahh.” Another titled The World is In (Y)²our Hands which will drop 2/2/22. Colaa aka Sydney Jackson’s highly anticipated single “Came To Get Rich” hit the digital music streams on December 9th and has been trending upward ever since. Maryland’s own newest rapper and 4ever Young Music Group’s newest artist, Colaa, is no stranger to entertainment and music. Growing up, she played guitar and wrote songs starting at an early age. Her music strives to empower young women and encourage them to reach their full potential without boundaries. “Colaa believes in young women paving their path and making way for themselves.” Colaa is an American beauty queen, model, actress, and rapper based in Maryland. She attended elite private schools in Washington, D.C., and developed a passion for writing, journalism, and performing arts. The former pageant queen and red-carpet correspondent embraces her true talent and passion then makes a dynamic jump into the music industry with her new single.

“Came To Get Rich” encompasses Colaa’s passion for music and becoming a mainstream artist. This release promises to deliver an authentic “Hip-Hop Experience,” which includes a sound and lyrics for young women chasing their dreams, passions and are focused on making money for themselves.

SOMag Presents “The Fleet Files” With Fleet DJ’s: DJ TY | @djtymusic

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is photo_2021-07-15_19-12-41.jpg

For over two decades, the fleet dj’s has grown from a small crew to a proficient coalition with over 500 members and counting. since 2001, THE WORLDWIDE FLEET DJ’s has changed the lives of both its members and the entertainment industry they have thrived in.

These are the members. These are Their Stories. THESE ARE “THE FLEET FILES”

Name: DJ TY

FLeet DJ Since: 2019

Location: Crown Point, INdiana

Region: Midwest Fleet DJ’s/Indiana Fleet DJ’s

WHO IS DJ TY?

Residing in the nineteenth state, DJ TY has been fascinated with being the life of the party. I asked TY what convinced him to want to become a DJ. From a very young age he knew this was his calling. ” When I was 7 I used to sit in the window and watch this DJ named Greg who rocked parties in the Playground. I was mesmerized at how the music made people happy. I knew then that my calling was to be a DJ.”

From there TY would put in the work. “I officially started my DJ journey at the age of 12 rocking family events. When I became a teen, I began DJ’ing all the block parties and high school events in my neighborhood. I also began producing house music and started releasing albums on Dance Mania, and Juke Trax Records. TY would go on to DJ at night clubs before he was old enough to be in them! He would go on to sign with Techo Mafia and tour the country rocking out numerous parties and events.

With a number of Fleet DJ’s wearing numerous hats, TY is no exception. “I am also a producer and co-owner of ILLIN Entertainment. I also own an Internet Radio Station (WHHR-DB Hoosier Heat Radio).” His inspiration for what he does comes from family, mostly from his closest sibling. “My sister Rhonda (R.I.P) had the most awesome album collection you could ever see. She kept me motivated when things got hard and I wanted to give up. I continue to drive down this road in her honor.”

DJ TY

TY’S ROAD TO BEING A DJ

Tyrone Lumpkins knew that the path he would take would have it’s peaks and valleys. When I asked TY to speak on a few that stuck out he reminisced on his largest event. “My best experience as a DJ is when I rocked my first Rave Party. There must have been over 3,000 people there. I was super excited and nervous at the same time. When I finished my set and heard the response from the crowd, it was up from there!” As for valleys he had a humbling experience that stood out. “My worst experience was showing up to an event and no one was there. I mean, no one ever showed up all night! It’s super difficult to keep your focus and push through an event like that.”

Show up with the same passion in your heart no matter what the circumstances are. You still put your all into it. It could be just one person at the event that’s having a bad day and you could be the person that changes that for them.

DJ TY on the takeaways of becoming a DJ

TY’s work is never done as a member of Fleet DJ’s. I asked him what can we expect from him moving forward. “I have a couple mixtapes dropping soon. One with various artists called Under The Radar Vol 2, also one with an artist named VBass.” As a member of the hottest DJ coalition in the world, he understands his role in the culture. “Music can be very healing and it’s up to us as DJ’s to be the musical doctors for people at times.”

TY works alongside his Fleet DJ family to break the next hot artist. I asked him what piece of advice he could give to upcoming artists. “Traveling this music journey will take you through ups and downs. There will be trials and tribulations throughout your journey. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!!

When I first started DJing, I was horrible (laughs). I used to DJ one my mother’s turntable with the mechanical arm and I would put the speaker in the window. Everyone in the neighborhood called me Terrible Ty. There was a local DJ that took me under his wing and once I got my skills up to par, I dropped the terrible and went with DJ TY.

DJ TY on how he came up with his name

IN CLOSING

DJ TY is not only a dope addition to the Fleet DJ family, but a great addition to the growing Indiana division of Fleet as well. I opened the floor for him to shout out any and everyone. “I want to give shouts out to my wife, (Moni) my brother (Ernest),sisters (Rhonda & Donna) and my business partner Jason Holmes. Anyone who has supported me in this journey, I thank you!”

You can follow DJ TY on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at @djtymusic and can book him by emailing djtymusic@gmail.com.
