The T-Quest Show: Serena Deena Interview

International Superstar is what comes to mind when I think of Serena Deena. She is a star that is shining! Having the pleasure of interviewing her, hearing how professional she is, down to earth, loving caring, hard working and hearing her awesome music was so epic. Her style of music is unique and I could see her on the charts soon.

Serena Deena

As I write this article I’m smiling because I’m happy I was introduced to Serena Deena. As soon as she called into my radio show, I knew in the first moment that we were going to have a great conversation. Not sure who to give the credit to, whether it was her upbringing or artist development but her professionalism and the way she spoke impressed me. She conducted herself very well in the interview. As we began to have more of a conversation, I was intrigued by many experiences she mentioned. Serena is what I call an all around entertainer.

Yes, she does music but she is also a dancer & a writer. She’s down to earth, she lives life and what she feels is what she displays in her music. During the interview we played and we spoke upon her two singles entitled Dirty & Palm. As the music was playing, I was getting contacted by the listener eager to learn where they can hear more of her music. That’s exactly the type of responses you want to get from new potential fans. Serena was even open to collaborating with me on a song which shows she’s down to create magic with others.

Not only is be easy on the eye but she has a beautiful spirit as well. Please make sure you support by streaming her music & keeping up with her on your social media as well as her website which is displayed. She’s a star that’s definitely shining!

The Quest Chronicles: Go Dj!!!

#GetSOM @TQuestGLM

During this difficult time we’re facing, there’s a darker cloud above our heads but no need to worry. The Djs & entertainers are here to put a smile on your face! All you have to do is go on Facebook, Instagram or Tik Tok & get ready to be entertained. As an entertainer, the majority of my social media friends are djs so it’s like a 24hr party on my timeline and I’m not mad at it. Of course, I had to take a break to entertain my own fans but back to jamming I went.

I felt like I was in a club and every room had a different genre and tempo playing. One minute I’m singing along as if it was karaoke & the next minute I’m twerking as if I wasn’t brought up in the church. Please forgive me father for I have sinned and will do it again. Not my fault, blame my fellow Djs for keeping the music rocking.

This is the time, we need to come together to spread love and happiness especially through the music. All entertainers whether djs, music artists, models, comedians, etc need to take advantage of this moment. Many of us started to do what we do as therapy now it’s time for our talents to be used as therapy for others. Let’s try our best to stay as positive as much as we can & keep the music going

The T-Quest Show: Tony Parker Jr.

The T-Quest Show

What’s good everyone, it’s your favorite blogger  T-Quest back with you all again to give you an inside scoop of some new talent that came my way. Let me introduce you all to Tony Parker Jr!

Tony Parker Jr.

Djuan Corneilous Towner A.KA. Tony Parker Jr. was born on November 15, 1975 to Robbie Towner in St. Louis, MO where their family would relocate to Chicago, IL 3yrs later. With Chicago becoming his hometown he would later discover rap at the age of 8. He started his first rap group called “The Shock Masters” which consisted of himself, his older brother Cedric Towner, and two childhood friends
from the neighborhood.

At the age of 12, Tony would be faced with unfortunate family diversity. He as well as his brother and 3 younger siblings were placed into
foster care. With these adjustments he took full advantage of furthering his musical sense by joining the church choir and learning to play the drums. From there school band at Paul Robinson High School where he attended.

At the age of 15, his adoptive mother took him to his first music seminar. This would be when he really fell in love with music. As Djuan Towner aged he kept at it and produced and wrote many songs still now unheard. He has performed at different venues throughout Kenosha, WI bringing massive crowds like June Tenth, Chasers, Brat Stop, The All White Party and Carthage College under his first stage name “Westside”.

He would later change his name to “Tony Parker Jr.” because he felt he needed something catchier. Tony Parker Jr considers himself as an Artist. He writes music geared towards an open age of listeners young and old. His style is laid back, upbeat and consistent with today’s era. Tony Parker Jr. would like to give a word of advice. “If you have a dream, never give up, real dreams do come true. You just have to keep pushing and keep your faith, and eventually it’ll become your reality.” TP

The Quest Chronicles: SpazzOut Baby!

#GetSOM #TQuestGLM

Lately I been booked to host a few events all over the US & have been quite impressed. The artists have shown me that they’re all are not the same. There’s a certain type of dark shadow over the new generation rap music but can’t over shadow the light. Recently, I hosted Virginia’s very own Dj Spazzout  1k Artist Showcase in North Charleston, South Carolina. He had artists from South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, New York & more to be apart of the competition.

This was the showcase to be apart of. The prizes  consisted of cash, music video, marketing services, radio show interviews, magazine spreads & more. The artists came & shut the show down! Keeping it real, I love a diverse show so I was hoping that every artist that signed up wasn’t ALL trap artists. Even though the majority was,  they put their spin to it & made up for it.

So many talented unique individuals that I’m honored to continue to connect with and help build with. As a host and a tastemaker in this industry it’s refreshing to meet gifted, go getting HUMBLE artists. Yes, many are new to the game and may need some guidance when it comes to the business part of it but that’s what I’m here for. It’s my pleasure to help them all take it to the next level because they deserve it!

Special should out to Dj Spazz for putting together such a legendary showcase for his birthday & did it all from out of state! Now that’s incredible! The place was packed & filled with great vibes! Can’t forget to shout out  Ashley  Burkes – The Duchess Co (Public Relations), Jonathan Penn of Pennhouse Productions & Recording Artist Lady J!

The Quest Chronicles: Energy & Vibes!!!

#GetSOM #TQuestGLM

Music is forever evolving like many other things in life. Which is great because that’s what it’s all about. At the same time may comments been circulation for a while that haven’t been so pleasant.

Over the weekend I’ve had the pleasure of hosting Running The Midwest put on by Fleet Dj’s very own Dj Mos Precious & Dj Swmpthing with special Fleet guests Dj Prestige & Dj Layne Luv. It was my first time in Ohio & won’t be my last. Even though I was overjoyed by being with some of my Fleet Dj family, I was more impressed by the artists. When is comes to a listening party, you’re not sure what you’re actually going to be listening to. You’re just hoping that it’s great professional content that you’ll be happy to listen to again.
Great vibes & great energy the whole night which was interesting because those were the same words circulating throughout the evening. Even though I was the host I was observing everyone. Many artists took advantage of the platform & networked all night.  As each artist had their moment to shine, I watched the crowd for reactions. Everyone was feeling the music & giving honest feedback.  I can tell they all was having a great time and once again the vibe and energy was on point. Many words were said throughout the night as well as gems being dropped but what I notice out of everything was something that I had to get off my chest.
I mentioned that it’s evident many have a lot to say about music of today,  hip hop and r& b in particular. Mumble rap with no lyrical content, singers who barely sing & half naked female twerking, talking about getting the bag & nothing else. Not this crowd, the artist were presentable, attentive, respectful, supportive & impressed me with their content. There was absolutely no mumble rap nor terk music. Not saying it’s all bad but it’s a common concern among most & this group of talented individuals proved everyone wrong.
They were a reminder that every artist is not the same, they’re going through situations like everyone else, they are living their truth, speaking their mind, staying in their own lane while delivering great content at the same time. I was honored to witness this in person and excited to connect as well as help these artists get their music out to the masses because they deserve it. Open your eyes & dig a little deeper because there’s many gems out here that deserve their chance to shine <3

Kanye West speaks, suddenly people start listening

Kanye West speaks

What does it mean when Kanye West Speaks?

Apparently, when Kanye West speaks it’s the gospel (pun intended).  I am here in Dallas, Texas 4 hours away from Houston where Kanye West made an appearance in front of a full house at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church Sunday.  I reference the location because the people of Houston tried to get their hands on tickets via social media.  I’m vaguely aware that people give merit and weight to what Kanye says when he speaks. He unsurprisingly speaks quite often.  The last time I saw an article about Kanye he was blasting George Bush Jr., which I felt was warranted.

A decent amount of Kanye’s music is good but, I’ll admit I could toss out half the catalog as well.  I know he has said or done some things that may be offensive to some or controversial to others.  He is saying that he has given his life to Christ which is great news to me personally.  I have briefly and reluctantly  listened to his new album Jesus is King.  I’m not sure when people started to take what he said to heart but I know he is a polarizing figure. I actually dont receive any message from Kanye normally because I’m not listening,  but why are you?

What exactly is Kanye’s Message?

I know I’m listening because Kanye West spoke up about the media and entertainment industry putting subliminal imagery in their programs and targeting children.  He spoke about protecting ourselves and the minds of our children.  Although, I do not usually listen when Kanye West speaks I somehow heard and felt his message.

I see so many negative images and hear way too much negativity to know that it is being fed to us and many are eating it willingly.  I am posting a replay of the service so that you may interpret for yourself what you hear.  I’m not arguing about whether Kanye is a righteous or deceptive messenger. I’m focused on the message, and if Kanye West speaking gets you to receive it or using his name gets clicks to the message I’m guilty sue me.  I just want people, especially those of darker melanin to wake up and GET OUT!
