Interview With Tampa Mystic

[box_dark]What’s going on for those who don’t know who you are, please introduce yourself… (Brief
back ground of where you were born and raised[/box_dark]

It’s ya girl TampaMystic, checkin in from Tampa, FL but soon to be a full time ATL resident. I own a marketing company geared towards the hip-hop music industry along with being a mixtape and internet radio DJ.

[box_dark] When did you first decide you wanted to enter into the music industry and why?[/box_dark]
Years ago, but never really acted on it until about 3 years ago. I’ve always been a fan of hip-hop music, and knew this is where I wanted to end up. After connecting with some of the most seasoned DJs in the industry, I have now started to make my own mark.

[box_dark]What projects are you currently working on?[/box_dark]
I have several mixtapes on the way. I have a series called INDUSTRIES MOST WANTED and the next 3 I am dropping are with Billy Blue, Chingy Jackpot and Ashton Martin. Along with that, I am working on several music campaigns such as Chingy Jackpot, Comptons Buck and Short Dawg.

[box_dark]What do you think of the current state of Hip Hop and the direction its headed?[/box_dark]
The current state of hip-hop needs some help. There is so much garbage music out here, that’s it’s flooding the market and not allowing the true talent to be heard or seen like it should. This is one of the main reasons I work with Independent artists, I want to help the good artists get that proper exposure.

[box_dark]What positive changes would you like to make within the music industry?[/box_dark]
Breaking some new artist. I know so many talented unsigned artists that just need the right people to get behind their music. That’s what I’m here to do!

[box_dark]How do you spend the ounce of free time you seem to have? Any hobbies?[/box_dark]
Well, my free time is in the negative zone lol, BUT when I find some extra time, I like to relax, have a few drinks, travel and hang out with my son.

[box_dark]What message would you like to state to those who want to enter into the industry as Djs, Artists,
and Producers?[/box_dark]

Stay in your own lane, always keep it 100 and watch out for the snakes! It takes lots of hard work and dedication to succeed out here. Everything I have, came from MY hard work, not riding off of others. Network, Network, Network!

[box_dark] What do u like about the music biz and what don’t u like[/box_dark]
I love working with and helping others succeed. This is the main reason I started my marketing company, I want to position people to win.
I don’t like the underhanded shadiness of so many people. This business is very cut-throat.

[box_dark]What would you like to state to those who have supported you throughout your life and within your
musical career? Any Shout Outs?[/box_dark]
I cannot say thank you enough to everyone who has shown me love and support. It has brought me to tears at times with the amount of trust people have put into me handling their music careers. That is so humbling!
To my haters, I love you too!!
I have to say much love and thank you to Klassik, the CEO of the Fleet DJs who has been an amazing part of my life since the day we met. Shout to to Supreme, the president of the Fleet DJs. Shout out all the Fleet DJs, Bigga Rankin, Kingpin, all of Team Bigga Rankin, Cool Running DJs, Desert Storm Radio DJs, , my Don Status / OO7 family, Street Diamond Ent, all my fam from the Tampa area along with anyone else that shows me love!
