[NEW ARTIST] LeftLane E chops it up with Straight Official

Had a chance to listen to this Upcoming Chicago Artist, LeftLane E, before we get into this good interview I want you to read about him.

“Chicago by Storm!”

That’s when everyone started calling LeftLane E by the street album title “Mr. Davenport”……well the name sounded pretty good, so it stuck.

During the time, he was promoting his 1st CD. Lil E was asked to perform at many venues and clubs throughout the Chicagoland, such as Bill’s Blue’s Bar, Club Candela,” The “Legend”, “The Checkerboard Lounge”, “Club 43″ and had also performed at ” The Taste of Chicago-Summer Concert Series” as an opening act.

Also, while in Minneapolis, Minnesota he appeared at the popular club called “The Bar Fly then tore the roof off at “The Red Sea Club, and wowed the crowd at the famous ” Rogers Skate Park”. In Los Angeles, he was invited to perform with other rappers for a week at “The Speakeasy Night Club.

All the ladies just love his clean approach on stage, but the fellas really dig his mean swagger and performer’s attitude. So not to keep the streets waiting too much longer, now out with his latest Mixtape of March 2017 entitled “The Escape Route” hosted by DJ Milticket & Ricky Rampage, produced by Tha Arkitek

WHY U CHOSE YOUR NAME?

LeftLane E came from was given to me by my cuzo Buck..(Always LeftLane E what ya on? Where ya at?) I was always somewhere running thru the city..tryna get to it

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING MUSIC?

I have been written since I was like maybe 12/13 start writing seriously like 16/17..performing like crazy once I hit 21.

WHAT CITY AND STATE YOU RESIDE IN, AND DO YOU GET LOCAL SUPPORT FROM THE CITY?

I’m from here out south.. live from 93rd king drive,92nd dauphin cottage grove…I do genuinely from a lot of people more so now because they see me moving…life has a crazy way of showing you things…and a unique way of building you up that’s just for you.. and when people see that confidence but humble sorta swag. They rock with you.

WHO DO YOU SAY YOU DO IT FOR?

I do it for everybody that keep asking me “why am I local?”(my hood, my fans, family that’s counting on me of course) but I do because it’s my passion, it’s where I find my peace bro, of course, the money to come but I’m not such an excellent communicator to a certain extent. And I best explain my self thru song…

WHATS YOUR GOALS AND YOUR AMBITION?

Thru everything that I been thru and going thru jo..str8 up hard work, consistency finding a way when cats intentionally throwing unnecessary forks on the road…like forget my future goals.I have like right now goals..3 months from now goals..6 months from now goals you feel…which makes that main goal that much easier to reach…with every new level I reach I create a new goal.. to be successful, to be another Mayweather of music, so overall I can say its to be just a dedicated as Mayweather!

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR LABEL AND ALSO ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH ANY MAJOR BRANDS OR LABEL?

I’m in the process of legalizing my label now. Making everything legit so that’ll be up and running soon! You’ll definitely hear more about that for sure. I’m working bro.

YOU HAVE ANY REGRETS IN YOUR MUSIC CAREER?

I don’t have any regrets. The whole word regrets it’s a complicated word in itself sorta…like how I could regret anything that I’ve learned or should’ve or shouldn’t do. It’s a lesson to me…either I hit my beat or I missed it you know…like I just apply everything I should’ve done them and apply them now…straight up! Never soak in the past. Double back for what you should’ve done

IF YOU CAN GIVE ANY KNOWLEDGE TO ANY UPCOMING ARTIST WHAT CAN IT BE? Stack, invest in yourself, make sure your work is legal. Oh and never stop at NO!

WOULD YOU STAY INDEPENDENT OR WOULD IT WOULD YOU FULLY GO TO A LABEL AND WHAT LABEL WOULD YOU GO TO?

If I could back myself like I want to, I would most definitely stay independent and just grind, stack and reinvest my money into different things. It’s all a hustle right. BUT if I did have too, it would be RocNation. It’s like right now Jay is at of point of grabbing artist and letting them go for what they know after they earned the place. He’s signed/signing all power artist. He’s up to something and I definitely wanna be apart of that.

WHATS YOUR THOUGHT PROCESS IN MAKING SONGS?

Vibes, emotions what I’m going thru at the moment. How I see fans react to music. Being true to myself when I’m writing. Grab me a drink sit on my back porch and just stare out into the city and think for the most part. Also, the biggest is out doing my last song. Always challenging myself. Recreating myself.

IF YOU HEARD AN ARTIST IT CAN BE INDIE/MAINSTREAM ARTIST FIRE SHOTS(Verbally) WOULD YOU RESPOND?

Local- it depends on who it is and how it can benefit me and not benefit the artist by me responding.

Mainstream- hell yea I’m on em!! No questions asked!! It’s beneficial. Now you got a wider fan base looking for you and what music you got. Or who you rock with.
