Meet Reco Bands
In a game where everyone wants to go viral, Reco Bands is moving with vision. Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, the rising artist, producer, songwriter, actor, and CEO has a blueprint bigger than music. Whether he’s lacing verses or building brands, Reco isn’t in it for the clout—he’s here for legacy.
From Basement Beats to Big Moves
Reco’s journey began in KC, where an early love for rhythm led him to teach himself production and performance. “I used to sample old records and make beats in my bedroom like it was a science lab,” he says. That passion took him from local stages to rooms with top-tier engineers and video directors, eventually leading to work alongside creative forces at the legendary Strange Music—the independent label that put Kansas City on the map.
“You can learn a lot just by being in the room. I came in as an intern, but I watched how empires are built.”
That same drive brought him to Las Vegas, where he flipped his experiences into a movement: Lost in Vegas. More than a brand, it’s a mindset—a hub for creative entrepreneurship grounded in authenticity and ambition.

Q&A WITH RECO BANDS
Truth Marx: You’ve got multiple hats—artist, producer, entrepreneur. What drives you to do it all?
Reco Bands: I never wanted to just be in the industry—I wanted to own a piece of it. I grew up watching people get boxed in. I knew I had more to offer than just one lane. The music is my foundation, but the business is how I scale my legacy.
What’s the meaning behind “Lost in Vegas”?
It’s that feeling of starting over. A lot of people come to Vegas chasing something—money, dreams, identity. I turned that into a creative hub. “Lost” doesn’t mean aimless, it means exploring who you really are. This brand is about creating without limits.
What makes Kansas City a part of your DNA?
KC gave me soul. That grit, that hunger—it’s different. We’re overlooked a lot, but that just makes us grind harder. I carry that underdog mentality everywhere I go. It’s Midwest with ambition.

I went from being a kid with a laptop to a CEO with a vision. Vegas made me sharper. This city taught me how to hustle with precision.

WRAPPING IT UP
Who were your biggest influences coming up?
Tech N9ne for sure—he showed me independence is power. Also Kanye, because of how he blends music, fashion, and vision. Nipsey Hussle, no question. That whole “ownership is the real flex” mindset shaped how I move.
What’s next for Reco Bands?
More music, visuals and building. I’ve got a new project coming that’s gonna wake people up. But beyond that, I’m mentoring younger artists, expanding the brand, making sure Lost In Vegas becomes a real staple. I’m here to shift culture.
