The Quest Chronicles: Moment of Silence

Model: T-Quest

A moment of silence. A moment of peace. A moment to breathe. A moment to cry & release. In this world we live in today, these moments are critical.

Many read articles, watch the news & hear tragedies happening all around. Most don’t internalize them because they’re not personally affected or may feel remorse because the situation is either close to home or very relate-able.  I hurt for the innocent lives that are being taken as well as the sick and suffering.

Recently in my own personal life, there has been a few deaths. People lose family members and friends everyday. Someone is always hurting, grieving, mourning & crying.

Life is not easy & no one is perfect. Life is too short and I personally feel that people are not realizing it as much as they should.  The main reason why I avoid confrontations & arguments. If it’s not life or death, it’s most certainly is not worth it.

With all that is going on in our world today many have asked me if I speak about it on my platforms as a music artist and radio personality? I honestly tell them “not often”. It’s not that I don’t care, I  personally use my platforms for other reasons. Social media is saturated with what’s going on already. When asked for my opinion, I give it, people respect it but I don’t dwell on certain topics too long and let me tell you why. It is very evident that we should address what’s going on in our society and culture but at the same time, EVERYONE is addressing it. As for me, I like to use my platform, not to bring up matters that makes everyone upset or sad but to put smiles on their faces like comedians do. They address certain topics in a comedic way to bring awareness then balance it out with laughter. I don’t want to be another person to make you upset, even if what I’m addressing is the truth.

Allow me to be someone who motivates you, make you laugh & put a smile on you face. Let me love you, embrace, you, hug you and let you know everything is going to be ok.

We need more leaders, mentors, positive listeners & cheerleaders. I’m not here for you to relive all that you’ve been through over and over again but I’m here to let you know that you are strong enough to get through.

Life is hard, so why must we make it harder on ourselves and others? Let’s minimize the arguing & lets make an effort to get over situations quicker. Let’s be here for each other as much as we realistically can be.

I end with this, think about your own struggles, now think about how many others that are going through the same situations or worse. We’ve all experienced loss, tragedies & have struggled in some way so who are we to add more burdens or negativity to someone’s life? We are only accountable for our own action so I ask you, please take the time out to love more people, give more hugs, encouragement & compliments. You never know if that one simple action towards someone else could have just saved their life. Holidays are around the corner. The season of the most depression and suicides. Be a blessing to others.
