TampaMystic sits down with Givenchy Royal for an exclusive interview

[box_dark]1. What’s going on Givenchy Royal? Please tell us a little bit about yourself and tell us where you’re from.[/box_dark]

What Up? Well I’m from a small southern Florida city called Okeechobee, that’s where my roots stem from. However, I live in Charlotte, NC so you know I rep the Carolina movement hard.

[box_dark]2. When did you start your music career and who or what inspired you?[/box_dark]

It started early for me. Around the age of ten I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. I was inspired by groups like; the Temptations, Journey, and lots of Classical music. The Hip-Hop and R & B movement in the 90s also played a huge role in me wanting to entertain.

[box_dark]3. You recently went back to using your birth name as an artist rather than your stage name, tell us why the change?[/box_dark]

I want to give my fans “me”. What better way to do that than to use your real name? Monikers are cool, but personally I was tired of using one.

[box_dark]4. You currently have a hot single out called ‘Payroll’. Tell us the story behind this record?[/box_dark]

Well, me and my patnaz were out at a lil spot in Charlotte and there was one particular dancer that caught our eye. She ended up being at our table the whole night, and she made a grip. It even got to the point where other ladies didn’t like it. Now I have a dope record because of it.

[box_dark]5. Besides music, what else can we find Givenchy Royal doing?[/box_dark]

I have my hands in some other business ventures. Still in the works of finalizing a deal that will take the Atlanta Peaches Women Basketball imprint overseas to join a FIBA league. Rick Runna and myself have some things outside of music on the table as far as fashion goes. I also make visits to the Men’s Homeless Shelter of Charlotte to speak with men about life. I love hearing about their dreams and stories. I just try to be that motivation they may need to live those dreams and make sure some of those stories never repeat themselves.

[box_dark]6. What project(s) are you currently working on?[/box_dark]

This Payroll campaign is my main focus right now. Making sure the record continues to grow is the mission. I’m also working on an EP that I’m extremely excited about, “The Givenchy Code”. Aside from that, I’m involved in some other 6 Rings projects and I’m always writing for other artists.

[box_dark]7. What’s been the most memorable moment in your music career?[/box_dark]

It would have to be when I got word that Quincy Jones was in love with one of my songs. That’s Quincy! I’ve had a few, but that one really stands out to me.

[box_dark]8. Tell everyone where they can find you? [Websites, Online social media, etc][/box_dark]

You can find me at www.6ringsmanagement.com. Follow me on Twitter,
Instagram, and Facebook at @GivenchyRoyal. You can check out music videos and other media on YouTube by searching either Givenchy Royal or Statz 441. Also on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify. Look Me Up!!

[box_dark]9. What message would you like to leave everyone with, the floor is yours![/box_dark]

Make sure you follow your dreams until you are dreaming with you eyes open. Remember, haters are usually mad because they can’t do what you do. So always strive for what you truly believe in and never allow anyone to tell you that your dreams aren’t real. If you see them at night then they are real to you and that’s all that matters.

[box_dark]Any Shout Outs?[/box_dark]

Shout to every single one of my fans. I love you for loving me, and what I do. My entire 6 Rings family and all DJs that rock with Givenchy Royal. I salute you.
