TampaMystic sits down w/ Papa Duck for an exclusive interview!
[box_dark]1. What’s going on? For those who may not know you, please introduce yourself and tell us where you’re from.[/box_dark]
My name is Papa Duck and I’m from Belle Glade Fla.
[box_dark]2. When/How did u start rapping and who inspired you?[/box_dark]
I started back in middle school just writing, shit playing around, but I really took it serious around 2006. To be honest I really fell in love with music point blank period, the ability to express how I feel and people embrace it is a High I can’t explain. My passion for music has made me put everything second in my life, including my kids which is something i had to realize the hard way.
[box_dark]3. Who are some artists you would like to work with?[/box_dark]
Honestly I got songs with Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Lil Boosie, Project Pat, Trina, Scar Face, Mannie Fresh, Young Dro, Oj Da Juice, Mr Magic and the list goes on….But I really want to work with Lil Wayne. I remember being in Miami doing a song with T-Pain’s artist Young Cash and I got the chance to see Lil Wayne’s work ethic and I was blowed away. That was the moment I said “how can a
rich nigga out work a broke nigga?” and i kept that with me ever since.
[box_dark]4. What’s been your most memorable moment in your music career?[/box_dark]
When John John died is my most memorable time in my career. That shit was like a movie or dream, we were finally doing something other than selling drugs that was positive and taking off quick. It made me not want to do this anymore. I had a long talk with my Mother and she said if I quit that’s not what he would have wanted me to do. So I decided to finish what we started.
[box_dark]5. What project’s are you currently working on?[/box_dark]
Currently I’m working on my album titled Duck Dynasty and my clothing line Street Loot clothing and Duck Lippz cosmetics and apparel.
[box_dark]6. Besides music, what else can we find you doing?[/box_dark]
Just opened up a daycare facility thats holds up to 68 kids back home in Belle Glade Fla. I’m also looking to do other things besides music venures like giving back and giving others opportunities.
[box_dark]7. In the coming months, what can we expect from you?[/box_dark]
More and more good music, I write from the heart because I’m a very emotional man, so a lot of things artist won’t say on a record I will and that’s what separates me from everybody else.
[box_dark]8. Tell everyone where they can find you? [ Websites, Online social media, etc][/box_dark]
or call 407-459-4907
[box_dark]9. What would you like to state to those who have supported you throughout your life and within your music career? Any Shout Outs?[/box_dark]
First, I want say thank God for all my blessings. I also really appreciate everybody who believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Shouts out to the Whole Street Loot Family, Breezy Says and every Dj who ever took time out to listen to my music.
