Coach Peake was born as Calvin Keshawn Peake in Union, South Carolina. He is currently Independent with his own imprint Calvin Peake Productions & Publishing LLC where he makes 100% of all profits off streaming, merchandise, publishing, sales, etc. Not only does he rap, but he also produces. By the age of 6 he was singing in the church choir, and by 12 he began playing drums for the church, rapping and recording songs. Pulling influences from artists like Tupac Shakur, Notorious BIG, Run DMC, Hurricane Chris, Plies, and Mystikal, he began taking music serious in 2011. He released “Jig” under his previous stage name Dat Boi P. The video for it did over 100,000 views on YouTube and gain him a few fans as well as radio play for the record. Growing up in a family where morals and beliefs were centrally important, it’s no surprise he adopted these values and sees his education as an extremely integral part of his life. He has performed in various cities such as Greenwood, Greenville, Spartanburg, Atlanta, Charlotte and much more. In 2014 he released “Best Believe It” which was hosted by DJ Shon and DJ Legacy out of Chicago. He changed his rap name to Coach Peake in 2016 and released the two singles “10 Toes Down” and “Switched Up.” Currently, Coach Peake is a priority artist for The Em*pire Dj Coalition and with a new tape on the way and possibly a deal on the table, Coach Peake is ready to give it all he got and make an impact in the music industry.
