“This is Life” clothing line was founded by 15 year old Student, Rapper and CEO Dorian Adams (DA) on December 2013, due to the overflow of violence in the City of Chicago. Dorian was inspired to write “This is Life”, a song to bring awareness to the ongoing issue of gun violence that he is exposed every day. Following the creation of the song, Dorian was self-motivated to draw more attention to the “This is Life” Movement by launching a Clothing Line. The idea was to physically have citizens of the City of Chicago represent the brand as walking billboards and spread the word by posting their photos via Social Media #ThisIsLife.
Due to an overwhelming response and acceptance of the brand the clothing line has expanded to include children’s and adult’s apparel: T-Shirts, Jogging Suits, Hats and more. Several events have emerged from the movement including the 1st Annual “This is Life” Stop the Violence Event (March 1, 2014) which featured performances by The Bop King, Lil Kemo (Kemo Step) and Dorian Adams (This is Life). Hundreds of children attended the safe and fun environment to celebrate LIFE with song and dance!
