Q&A WITH QUE FEVER
What is your Name? Where you’re from and what first got you interested in the entertainment industry?
My name is Derrick Sanders (Que Fever Mr. Motormouth). I was born in Philly and lived in Tulsa Oklahoma. I’ve always performed in front of people since elementary school and church.
Who and/or what inspires you to create?
Hip-Hop artists such as Rakim, Kool G Rap, Treach, Snoop, Nas and Black Thought are a few of my hip hop inspirations.
How would you describe your sound?
My sound is different, unique and melodic. It’s real Hip Hop.
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
What is your creative process like?
I’m always creating, producing, recording, editing and rehearsing. In addition, I’m also the creator and host of Da Platform Hip Hop, a show for indie artist twice a month at Ipam located at 1608 Ridge Ave in Philadelphia.
What artist(s) would you like to collaborate with?
Jewels Nakir, The Lox, Too Much Raw, Freddie Gibbs, Dell-P, Joyner Lucas, Black Thought, DJ No Phrillz, Kendrick Lamar, Redman, Method Man, Swizz Beats, Peddie Crakk, Timberland and DJ Mustard.
What is one message you would give to your supporters?
Real hip hop is still here. Love life, love music, live positive as possible.
SWITCHING GEARS
What is the most talent/skill you have that most people don’t know about?
Well, besides playing piano and the drums, I am also a carpenter.
What would you be doing right now, if you weren’t doing music?
If not for the music, I would fall back into being a carpenter. Building/fixing homes and buildings.
Who are some artists/people you admire and why?
Jadakiss, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, Dr Dre, Swizz Beats and Kanye West. They all work hard and are geniuses at both music and business.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?
The best advice I’ve received is to be yourself, work hard and stay diligent.
What’s next for you, where would you like to see yourself in the next year?
Continuing to make great music and production. For my show Da Platform to Be Bigger and better and sponsored.
