The Quest Chronicles: Embrace The Journey

The Quest Chronicles: Embrace the Journey Your Life, Your Story We all grow up with dreams—daydreams about who we’ll become and the life we’ll live. I want to be a wife or husband or I want to be a mom or dad. I want to have a career. Maybe you dreamed of becoming a doctor, a lawyer, an entertainer—or maybe you just wanted to make enough money to live comfortably and take care of your loved ones.

These dreams fuel our imagination, and for some, they become reality. Kudos to those who stayed focused, put in the work, and turned their dreams into something real. That’s no small feat.

But what about the ones who haven’t reached their dream yet—or who took a different path altogether? It’s okay.

The Quest Chronicles: Embrace the Journey

Life doesn’t always follow the script we write in our heads. Sometimes we make mistakes. Sometimes we hit roadblocks, go through storms, or are forced to take detours we never planned. And while it can feel like we’ve missed out or fallen behind, that’s not the full picture.

Don’t look at where you are and feel like you’ve failed. Look at it as a part of your unique story—an experience unfolding in its own time. Shift your mindset. Life isn’t about perfection or comparing timelines. It’s about growing, learning, and appreciating each chapter—even the ones that feel uncertain.

You still have time to write your story. You can change directions & can discover new passions. The best part is; you can still live a life that surprises and fulfills you.

So live boldly. Embrace the twists and turns. Let go of what didn’t happen and make space for what still can. Your life may turn out even better than expected—if you give it a real chance.

This is your life. Make the best of it.

Straight Official Sit Downs: Lovely Lay Beats

Lovely Lay Beats

LOVELY LAY BEATS is an emerging young producer who finds herself in the hot seat for another edition of Straight Official Sit Downs. @klassikceo served up the questions and the vibe was dope! Check out the 1v1 down below and click here for more episodes of Straight Official Sit Downs!

Q&A WITH LOVELY LAY BEATS

What is your name? . Where you’re from and what first got you interested in the entertainment industry?

My name is Lanyia aka Lovely Lay Beats and I’m from Philadelphia. Ever since I was a child, I loved hearing music. I danced and sang all the time, and as I grew older, I knew I had to make a career out of it to fulfill my passion.

Who and/or what inspires you to create?

My life inspires me to create music. Whatever emotion I feel, I put it into the music.

How would you describe your sound?

Vertical.  I like to create Hip-Hop, R&B, and alternative music along with sound-healing music.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

What is your creative process like?

I listen to different artists and instrumentals and see if I can get inspired by one of the sounds. Often times sounds or a rhyme pop into my mind and I start replicating what I heard and humming it out until I have a rough draft.

What artist(s) would you like to collaborate with?

Some of the artists I’d like to work with include Newyrkla, Jhene Aiko, Missy Elliot and Fr33sol.

What is one message you would give to your supporters?

Thank you for your support. I appreciate every single repost, like, and comment. Without your help. My music wouldn’t be heard.

Be yourself. Always focus of the positive.

SHIFTING GEARS

What is the most talent/skill you have that most people don’t know about?

I can make people laugh. My sense of humor is like a superpower. I make a great cup of herbal tea, and I write poetry as well.

What would you be doing right now, if you weren’t doing music?

I would be owning a vending machine business.

Who are some artists/people you admire and why?

I admire Prince because he always spoke up for himself, and wasn’t afraid to be himself. I like Bob Marley because he speaks about peace and love on Earth. He was a great activist for Jamaica.

WRAPPING IT UP

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Artists should have more control over how many sales they should be given when it comes to streaming.

What’s next for you? Where would you like to see yourself next year?

My album is releasing on July 9th. I’m very excited and I see myself next year working with the artist that I would love to collaborate with.

13. What is your social media? How can people get in contact with you?

You can follow me on social media @lovelylaybeats on Instagram or by email at [email protected]
