The Quest Chronicles: Be Happy Let’s be real, many of us spend far too much time trying to please others. We do it so much that we tend to forget the most important person is self. There’s a time where we bite our tongue even though we would like to speak up. Even in cases where we want to share our accomplishments, we tend not to because of how some people will react. 

Keeping things to ourselves is not a bad thing sometimes. Enjoy you and your success for you. If you find love, enjoy it. If you get a raise or whatever; enjoy it. Everything doesn’t have to be announced, people may not be happy for you but just be happy for yourself. You deserve it!

Meet Pearl Pearl: A Man of Many Talents and a Heart of Gold

Picture this: Atlanta, GA native Pearl Pearl was approached with a wild idea – starting a record label. As fate would have it, It was at a basketball practice where Pearl’s friend Yohon would constantly urge Pearl to invest in his group TTS, which was the first out of many acts he signed.

Pearl knew he had found his calling. As he sat watching the show “Making The Band”, Pearl Pearl had an epiphany – he too could be on his “Diddy” and make a real difference in the lives of aspiring artists. And so, in 1999, Pearl Pearl invested in his dream and started Hard Nodd Records (currently named Newsky Entertainment).

What Drives Pearl

Why was Pearl Pearl so passionate about this venture? Simply put, his purpose in life is to help others. From coaching kids in the hood to providing a free camp every August in honor of his late son, he has always been his brother’s keeper.

It’s no surprise that he’s also dedicated to helping others through their struggles with mental health. He focuses especially for black men. Pearl Pearl wants to be that go-to person, that shoulder to lean on, that friend who’s always there when you need a helping hand.

As if running a record label and being a pillar of the community wasn’t enough, Pearl Pearl is also dipping his toes into the world of podcasting. Inspired by his late son Shaq (R.I.P) and best friend Yohon, Pearl Pearl launched his podcast, “Let Me Kick My Sh++.” A testament to his love for deep conversations and talk shows, he knew he had a voice that needed to be heard. And boy, did the universe agree!

After a life-changing interview on The T-Quest Show with DJ ILL NINO, he knew it was time to take his podcast game to the next level. With three successful seasons under their belts and many more to come.

But wait, there’s more! Pearl Pearl isn’t just a music mogul and podcasting powerhouse – he’s also in the process of writing a movie script. The Quest Chronicles: Omoghéné I recently had the privilege of speaking with recording artist Omoghéné on The T-Quest Show with DJ ILL NINO. I could tell from the first time we spoke how amazing the show would be.

Before the performance began, we were captivated by her vivacious personality. The cherry on top was having amazing music.

We learn a lot about Omoghéné’s childhood, what motivated her to pursue music, and what fuels her enthusiasm during the interview. She’s a highly talented young woman, and talking to her piqued my interest.

Omoghéné

In addition to being a recording artist, Omoghéné is also a producer and a songwriter. She’s aware of how crucial it is to be invested in and involved throughout the process.

Aside from music, Omoghéné is a college graduate. She is aware of the value of a college education. With everything she’s striving to achieve, she’s going to any length to make it happen.

THE NIGERIAN-AMERICAN SINGER & SONGWRITER PAVING HER OWN LANE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

The introduction of her track “Already Mine” to our audience was the highlight of the interview. While known for slower-tempo songs, but she tried something different and succeeded in doing so. The R&B, Pop, Dance, and House genres are all extremely marketable for this fast-paced tune. It’s a vibe that a lot of people could get behind.

The Quest Chronicles: Best Of It We all had that moment growing up daydreaming about our future. I want to be a wife/husband, a mom/dad, I want to have a career and more. I want to be a doctor, lawyer, entertainer, or simply just want to make a lot of money. We all dream yet only become true for some. Kudos to the ones who were able to stay focused and turn their dreams into reality. For the ones who may have not, it’s ok.

No one is perfect, we all make mistakes, go through trials and sometimes have no control on where life may take us. Don’t look at it as missing out but take it as a new experience ready to be explored and appreciated. Live your life, shift and change what you may  but don’t allow it to slip away. It may turn out better than expected just give it a chance. This is your life, make the best of it.

The Quest Chronicles: Accountability As I scroll on social media all I see is everyone protecting their peace and energy. They’re not allowing others to interfere with their new wave of life. If it doesn’t benefit them; it’s not happening, People are starting to say NO more than YES and  putting themselves first from now on. 

This is beautiful and I support it to a certain extent. Some of the people who are saying and writing this are actually the problem. I encourage everyone to look in the mirror and ask yourself, “Am I the problem?” “Is there something I need to work on myself? I’m here for all positive affirmations but at the same time I’m here for self evaluation and accountability . Let’s do the work on all sides.

There’s people out there that make fun of people who have resolutions that they never seem to compete. I ignore people like that. Life can be hard and challenging so things happen.
