TRIGGERRUN

Q&A WITH TRIGGERRUN

Please take time to introduce yourself and tell us where you’re from?

Hailing from Atlanta by way of Albany (the 229), TRIGGERRUN is composed of the following active members: K. Washington | A. K. Knegil, Herbert Bowens Jr. | H3theArtist & Nathaniel Whitfield | Syncere Akil.

What first got you interested in the entertainment industry?

TRIGGERRUN was inspired at an early age by their parents who introduced us to R&B Soul who encouraged us to pursue our creative talents which led to playing in the orchestra/band in elementary school and formulating one of the most illest dance crews ever to bless the Ruth Harris Performing Art Center at Monroe High School (Albany) a.k.a “the house that TRIGGERRUN built”.

Their love and passion for music would inspire them to share their gift of music on the world stage.

Who and/or what inspires you to create?

The inspiration comes from the pure love of the musical art form and the ability to create an arrangement of sound thus turning it into a beautiful masterpiece.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

How would you describe your sound?

An eclectic mix of NY East Coast, Miami-bass meets the ATL Dirty South fusion.

What is your creative process like?

Our creative process is impulsive. Inspiration is often birthed at the most inopportune time therefore we have come to stay prepared to seize the moment. This often includes recording ideas in audio note format to capture initial thoughts, progressions or arrangements for later development.

If you could open a show for any artist who would it be?

As of now, Jay-Z and/or Beyonce due to their international influence, which speaks volume about their influence and popularity in the music industry, as we look to expand our talents beyond the U. S. borders.

What artist(s) would you like to collaborate with?

It doesn’t matter! Whoever is open to collaborate. Collaboration is always good on any level whether TRUE or NEW school artistry.

TRIGGERRUN

SHIFTING GEARS

What is one message you would give to your supporters?

Music is for the young at heart so set the narrative, dare to be different & stay on your grind.

What hidden talent(s) do you have?

H3 is more of a renaissance brother who possesses many talents such as acting, singing, piano, guitar and drawing

AK’s talent includes singing, saxophonist, graphic arts and videography.

Syncere Akil possesses talents in videography, graphic arts and clothing brand apparel creation.

What would you be doing right now, if you weren’t doing music?

As the athlete of the group, A. K. would be involved in youth sports mentoring and giving back to the youth teaching life skills through the game of sports.

H3 would continue pursuing his dream of theater and acting while focusing on his new love of charcoal drawing.

Syncere would be continuing to build his real-estate empire flipping houses while at the same time working on his clothing brand marketing for himself and the group.

Who are some artists you admire and why?

Rakim is one of the cornerstones that the foundation of hip-hop was built on. His style of MC and lyricism still reigns supreme until this day as one of the illest to ever bless the mic.

IN CONCULSION

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Stay humble, be prepared and when opportunity presents go for it!

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

The hierarchy and structure of the business from the top executives that have exploited artists over the years through bad business ethics and contract disputes.

What’s next for you? Where would you like to see yourself next year?

Next is award nomination on this new independent platform in hopes of transcending and elevating another level of achievement in this game.

You dropped your latest release ‘2 Da Flo’. Tell us about it.

‘2 Da Flo’ is another eclectic party jam sponsored by the “Feel Good Music” vibe that TRIGGERRUN is an ambassador.  It’s a simple call and response song to get the people off the wall and onto the dance floor.

Also, working on the video so be on the look out for the video to drop around June of this year.

Any departing words for our viewers/subscribers?

TRIGGERRUN is streaming on all major platforms. Please follow, like and share and subscribe. Also, we want to say thanks to all of our fans, current and future, for your support and for taking time out of your busy schedule to build. LOVE!
